Power
In todays fast grow of civilization, there is an ever mounting need for energy in our daily lives. Most of the energy we use is either in the form of electricity, generated from burning fossil fuels. Energy is obviously needed for everyday activities such as lighting , air conditioning and so on. Power from fossil fuels is harmful to our environment and is likely to be exhausted in the not too distant future. Everyone must do their bit towards conserving energy in our schools.
We aim to efficiently use the energy in our primary school, and reduce the usage as much as we can. We have set a target for our power reduction - 20% in the next 12 months. The two major uses of power within our schools are lighting and appliances, and with the new solar panels that have recently been installed, we are now able to produce our own green energy for use within the school.
